The male gender role and the male ideal is under debate, in movement and under negotiation. For better and for worse. The role of the male has become multifaceted. Does each generation have to find their own role model because the last generation’s is not compatible with the new values? Suicide rates among men is high, including among young men. Many find it hard putting into words, understanding, and mastering the world around and his own emotions. Can a simple sculpture ignite conversation and provide a better base for understanding yourself – or the other? Can a simple sculpture be funny and disarming so that people dare to talk about things they do not have words for? Can art create a mental room that boosts the conversation, the empathy, self-esteem, and respect in a good direction?
